Tool Organizers: what you get and how to choose

Heydake tool organizers fit standard 1/4-inch (6.35 mm) pegboard with holes 1 inch apart. This is the pegboard type sold in almost every US hardware store. Kits include the hooks, brackets and screws you need. For heavy tools like saws and drills, use a double hook or a shelf bracket.

Will these hooks fit my pegboard?

They fit standard 1/4-inch pegboard with holes 1 inch apart - the most common type in North America. If your board came with a workbench, measure the holes first. A few imported boards use smaller holes or metric spacing.

How much weight can a pegboard hook hold?

Standard hooks hold about 5 lb (2.3 kg). Heavy-duty L-hooks hold about 10 lb (4.5 kg). The board itself is usually the weak point, not the hook. For heavy tools, spread the weight over two hooks, or use a shelf bracket screwed into the wall studs.
