  • Bimetal and HCS blades with milled teeth for fast cutting
  • Several TPI options per set - wood, metal, plastic and demolition

Saw Blades: frequently asked questions

Which TPI should I use for wood or metal?

Use a coarse blade (about 6 TPI) for fast cuts in wood and demolition. Use a finer blade (10-14 TPI) for metal, plastic and pipe. Use 18-24 TPI for thin metal and sheet work. A multi-TPI set means you always have the right blade.

Why does my saw blade keep snapping or getting too hot?

Usually the blade is wrong for the material, or you are pushing too hard. Let the blade do the work. Keep the saw shoe flat against the material. Match the TPI to the material - too few teeth on thin metal breaks teeth, too many on thick wood heats up the blade.
